About Us

How It All Began

Why the Name?

Well... it’s kind of a metaphor. There are always two of us at every wedding. Me – the planner, the fixer, the one with the master list and the backup plan. And you – the bride, the centre of it all. We’re in this together. From the first call to the last dance, we co-create something that feels just right. Because your Pinterest mood boards and my execution – that’s what makes Two Fat Ladies.

Honestly? It started with chaos.

In 2010, my brother was getting married. We’re a big Marwari family, the kind where weddings are a full-blown festival. We were living in Bombay, and Bombay was the destination... except we couldn’t find a single banquet hall that wasn’t booked. We checked out places in Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and so on, but nothing felt right. So we flew to Bangkok. Found a hall. I took a break from work and somehow ended up planning the entire wedding. It went off like a dream. Word spread. Cousins started calling. Then their friends. Before I knew it, I was knee-deep in shaadis and loving every second of it.

What Makes Us Different?

We know what this day means to you. That’s why we plan every wedding like it’s our own, and no, that’s not just a line. From picking you up at the airport (with a snack box, obviously) to hosting your meetings at places that actually feel fun, we become part of your people. We cry with your mum, fix your outfit last-minute, make sure your nani gets the front-row seat, and somehow keep track of 47 different things while still remembering your dog’s name. We’re warm. We’re loud. We’re a little obsessive about the details. But most of all, we care.
